East End
The east side of Council Bluffs is filled with treasures including the historic Haymarket Square which includes a mixture of eclectic shops and eateries.
Downtown you find the 100 block of West Broadway in which the Chamber of Commerce building was created out of the shell of the Hughes-Iron building. The structure was home to the Hughes Chevrolet dealership for many years. Across the street are more shops and pubs that provide a relaxing place to unwind including outside seating. Also downtown is a spacious office complex known as the Omni Centre which provides offices to many businesses important to Southwest Iowa.
