The Linden Neighborhoods
One of west Omaha’s premier home sites is The Lindens. Located between West Dodge Road and Blondo Street, 132nd Street to 144th Street, it has four separate subdivisions (Linden Estates, Linden Estates II, Linden Park, and Lindenwood) united as one community. Each entity has an active Home Owner’s Association Board with slightly different covenants, which results in a lovely setting for, homes ranging in price from $350,000 to well over a million dollars.
Much of the area’s charm comes from the individual architectural styles and the beautifully maintained landscaping with mature trees at the home sites and in the common areas. Shared amenities include: social gatherings and activities for families, singles, and empty nesters; the Linden Times (a monthly, published newsletter); spectacular, holiday light displays; a walking trail; as well as care and concern for families living in the Linden neighborhood.
The highly rated Millard Schools system serves and unites the area with an elementary building within the community. There are also near-by options for parochial and private schools as well as churches of many denominations. The modern First National Business Park provides employment opportunities, as does the West Dodge Expressway with its access to numerous business, medical, and retail locations and the Interstate system.
Shopping of all types, from grocery stores and “big box outlets” to the Village Pointe Shopping Mall is close as are restaurants, movie theaters, private and public golf courses, and baseball fields. The neighborhood’s location provides a quiet setting but is only minutes from the Omaha Community Playhouse and other performing arts’ venues, sports complexes, and entertainment centers found throughout the city.
